Netflix reveals trailer for new repulsion trilogy Fear Street, and it's seriously shivery
The teaser trailer for Netflix's new horror trilogy Fear Street is here – and it's got deal of references to classic scary movies.
In the clip, we learn of a deuced township named Shadyside, ill away a witch seeking retaliate. In that location's besides a young woman answering the call to the sound of heavy breathing, in front being attacked by a skull-wearing assailant (Scream, anyone?), what seems to be a camp with a masked killer – giving us Friday the 13th vibes – and an ax driving into a door in a way that's very redolent of The Shining.
The trilogy will see a group of teenagers World Health Organization, in 1994, learn that the sinister events plaguing Shadyside crosswise the long time might equal linked – and to make matters worsened, they could exist in the cross-hairs next metre. The films will span the history of the township, focusing connected '94, '78, and 1666, and are founded connected the RL Stine series of novels.
"We filmed all three Fear Street movies over one crazy, bloody summer," director Leigh Janiak said. "IT's a dream that audiences at present annoy know the story in the Saame way – back up to back to back, with only a hebdomad of ready and waiting in between. Stine weighed in with: "Fear Street fans are sure a treat – and some Major surprises. Readers know that the book series is rated PG. Just the movies are rated R. That means a lot more thrills – and much more terror! I have seen Vivien Leigh Janiak's epic trilogy emotional along Netflix in July and I can state you the scares and the SCREAMS are more I ever expectable. What fun to see the horrors of Shadyside come into being!"
The Fear Street cast includes Stranger Things' Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke, every bit well every bit Kiana Madeira River, Olivia Scott Welch, Benjamin Flores Jn., Darrell Britt-Gibson, and Jordyn DiNatale.
